By using our website or services, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our website.

2. Scope of This Policy

This policy applies to:

  • Our website and any pages, forms, or scheduling tools hosted on it.
  • Information we collect when you contact us, request a free audit, or book a meeting.

This policy does not govern data processed within the custom systems we build and operate on behalf of our clients. When we build or manage a system for a client firm, that firm is the controller of its own clients' data, and we act as a service provider (data processor) under the terms of our agreement with that firm. See Section 8 for more.

3. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly. When you submit our contact form, request a free audit, book a meeting through our scheduling tool, or email us, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, business name, and the contents of your message or inquiry.

Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we and our service providers may automatically collect technical and usage data such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, referring URLs, and timestamps, through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 6).

Information from third parties. If you book a consultation through a third-party scheduling provider, or interact with us via a third-party platform, we may receive information from those services as permitted by their own policies.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information through our website, and we ask that you not submit it.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to inquiries, deliver requested audits, and provide quotes or proposals.
  • Schedule and conduct consultations and meetings.
  • Provide, operate, and improve our services.
  • Send service-related communications and, where permitted, relevant updates about our offerings.
  • Maintain the security and performance of our website.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Legal Bases for Processing (Where Applicable)

If you are located in a region that requires a legal basis for processing (such as the EEA or UK), we rely on:

  • Your consent (for example, marketing communications or non-essential cookies).
  • Performance of a contract or steps taken at your request before entering a contract.
  • Legitimate interests, such as operating and improving our business, provided these are not overridden by your rights.
  • Legal obligation, where processing is required by law.

You may withdraw consent at any time where consent is the basis for processing.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate our website, remember preferences, and understand how visitors use our site. Some cookies are essential for the website to function; others are used for analytics and performance.

We use Google Analytics to measure how visitors find and move through this site. It sets cookies in your browser and sends Google information about the pages you view, including your approximate location, referring page, and device and browser type. We do not send Google your name, email address, phone number, or anything you type into a form on this site. Google acts as our processor for this data. You can opt out across all sites with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Analytics cookies are only set after you accept them. When you first visit this site we ask for that choice, and nothing is sent to Google until you accept. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is collected. To change your choice later, clear this site's data in your browser settings and the request will appear again.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect how the website functions. Cookies that are strictly necessary for the website to function are not covered by this choice.

7. How We Share Information

We may share information with:

  • Service providers who help us operate our business, such as website hosting, scheduling, analytics, and email providers. These providers may only process information on our behalf and under appropriate safeguards.
  • Professional advisors, such as legal and accounting professionals, where necessary.
  • Authorities or third parties when required to comply with the law, respond to legal process, protect our rights, or prevent harm.
  • Successors in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

8. Data Processed on Behalf of Client Firms

When we build or manage an operations system for a client firm, that system may collect and process information about the firm's own clients (such as intake details, contact information, documents, and matter or application status history).

In these cases:

  • Our client firm is the data controller and is responsible for determining how that data is collected and used and for providing appropriate notices and consents to its clients.
  • Orca Edge acts as a service provider / data processor and handles such data only as instructed by the firm and under our written agreement with them.

If you are a client of one of our client firms, please direct privacy requests to that firm directly. We will support our clients in responding to such requests as required.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, including to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.

10. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. International Data Transfers

We are based in Pakistan and work with clients and service providers in multiple countries, including the USA, Canada, UK, Australia, and UAE. Your information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in countries other than your own, where data protection laws may differ. Where required, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.

12. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Request deletion of your information.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Request a copy of your information in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 16. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (note: we do not sell personal information).

13. Children's Privacy

Our website and services are intended for businesses and individuals aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

14. Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services that we do not control. This policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review their policies.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be communicated where appropriate. Your continued use of our website after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
